Tom Clancy's The Division is a third-person shooter game for Windows PC.
The Division takes place in the near-future when the world has become a place known as The Dark Zone. After an apocalypse of sorts, New York City has become abandoned by all of its people. A terrible outbreak has taken the lives of those who were unable to escape in time, and Manhattan is nonetheless quarantined by The Division (also known as the Strategic Homeland Division).
Tom Clancy's The Division is a multiplayer game where players are in squads of semi-military teams who are responsible for making sure The Dark Zone is still clear. Players inside the Dark Zone may be killed by rogues, the infected, or traps set up by wary and mistrustful citizens. The squad in which a player is placed can also be a source of danger - when finding the loot, even the squad can turn against its own members.
Taking the goodies back to base is the main objective in the game. Basically, players need to survive the level and then evacuate via an extraction team. Whoever calls for extraction must now be protected by the squad. Players have to fight opponents until the evacuation helicopter arrives.
Players will be set up in three-person squads. Various modes allow for human to human battles or a more open style arena where opponent teams are encountered as the player's squad progresses through the world.
Tom Clancy's The Division is rating pending; The Division was created by Ubisoft. Originally set for a 2014 release, the game has been held off until early 2016. Ubisoft has also come out with the software titles Rainbow Six Seige, Ghost Recon Wildlands, and Far Cry. As with other third-person shooters in the Ubisoft network, players of Tom Clancy's The Division will find lots of ways to customize their characters, gear, and experience in the game.
Ubisoft is located in Montreuil, France. The game designers and company have created a number of hit PC games, which include titles such as Just Dance, Rayman, Prince of Persia (which spawned a movie deal), Assasin's Creed and Splinter Cell.
